Virtual Innovation Fusion 2020: Art X Technology

Innovation Fusion, FIBA’s flagship annual fundraiser event, will be held virtually this year and will focus on the Intersection of Art and Technology. As always, Innovation Fusion will feature engaging content and insights about innovation and future thinking, with a focus on Israeli leaders. A $25.00 donation is suggested for this event.

This year, Innovation Fusion will focus on the intersection of art and technology with keynote speaker, renown artist innovator, Janet Echelman! The Boston-based artist, born and raised in Tampa, is famous for her building size sculptures that can be found all over the world. You can find her latest work at the new St. Pete Pier. The Harvard Grad, receiving “Innovator” title recognition from Architectural Digest, will tell her story of how imagination, innovation and technology sent her to the top of the art world.

6:00-6:10pm – Welcome and opening remarks

6:10-6:15pm – Israel expansion to Florida: David Globig, CEO of Aviv Clinics

6:15-6:30pm – The Spotify of digital art: Rob Anders, CEO of Niio

6:30-6:45pm – Israeli Ecosystem update: Ori Kaufman-Gafter, Head of International and tech banking at Bank Leumi USA

6:45-7:00pm – Florida ecosystem update: Jamal Sowell, Florida Secretary of Commerce and the President & CEO of Enterprise Florida

7:00-7:30pm – Keynote presentation: Janet Echelman

The intersection of art and technology discussion will come full circle with Rob Anders, Co-founder and CEO of Niio, an Israeli startup company holding one of the biggest names in “new media art” and aspires to become the Spotify of visual art.

The event will also include an update about how the tech eco-systems in both Florida and Israel are thriving despite the pandemic. Jamal Sowell, Florida Secretary of Commerce and the President & CEO of Enterprise Florida will provide updates on Florida’s tech ecostyem and Ori Kaufman-Gafter, Head of International and Tech banking at Bank Leumi USA, will provide insights on how the Israeli tech ecosystem weathered the pandemic.

Keeping with FIBA’s tradition of featuring success stories of Israeli companies thriving in Florida, this year’s event will feature Israeli company, Aviv Clinics, that recently launched its hyperbaric clinic in The Villages. David Globig, CEO of Aviv Clinics will explain why Aviv chose Florida as its first site outside of Israel and how the technology works.
